At UNEX Manufacturing, we believe that giving back is an important part of our business. From Open Door to RIT's Lean Lab, we take great pride in supporting several charitable efforts that enrich our communities and our future. That's why UNEX Manufacturing is proud to announce its participation in Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. This month, UNEX will join the fight to help those whose lives have been effected by this disease.
UNEX Manufacturing will be taking part in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Point Pleasant Beach walk. The event takes place October 20, 2013. We will be joining over 680 teams and 4,113 participants from local communities in order to honor survivors, raise awareness about the disease, raise money to help fund breast cancer research, and to bring our communities together around a common goal. UNEX has made a donation to Making Strides, and each participating team member will also be contributing to finish the fight against breast cancer.
Our efforts against this terrible disease do not stop at the Making Strides walk. From October 28 through October 30, UNEX Manufacturing will be taking part in the Assembly Show. This event in Rosemont, Illinois connects manufacturers with buyers and users of assembly equipment. While we've participated in this event before, something will be slightly different this year.
The pink Flow Cell will be present at the Assembly Show
and illustrates our commitment to the fight against breast cancer. This workstation will be available for purchase, and a portion of the proceeds of the pink Flow Cell will be donated to the American Cancer Society to further their efforts against breast cancer. You don't need to buy the Flow Cell to help us in our efforts, however. 
If you'd like to walk, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Point Pleasant Beach takes place on October 20, 2013. Registration begins at 8AM, and the walk begins at 10AM.
